Jeep Palmach Israel 1947-48 (1/35 Best Value Models)
I decided to write this review when I realized there is non so far, nether any pictures or any details about this very interesting kit.
As a picky modeler I always appreciate a possibility to check pictures and read a review of a kit I am planing to buy and build.
I hope this review will come handy and will motivate those who might be interested in this kit because it is indeed a beautiful one.
I got mine from a friend who bought it in Telford and I am very happy for that as I tried to get this kit since I seen it on scalemates as a new release, but, unfortunately it was not available on any model-shop online and I couldn't find any website of the manufacturer (very strange).
The approximate retail price of this kit is I believe something around 40 euro which seems to be reasonable for all what we get in the box.
Manufacturer provides together with the resin conversion for the Israeli version and a fret of very nice PE details also one and a half sprue of the donor kit from Italeri (which is also mentioned on the box), which I think is a great thing as I got everything I need in one box and don't have to bother with searching for a donor kit.
In a box we will find already mentioned 1,5 sprue with parts of the jeep itself, 28 resin parts, photo etched parts in one small fret and simple instruction sheet, no decals provided.
The donor kit from Italeri might be well known to most of the modelers so I wont bother with reviewing it.
The resin parts look very nice, didn't found any single bubble, there is practically no flesh nether any other errors. All parts are crisp and the details look amazing. Both guns have bit bend barrels, but I believe that wont be any issue as it can be easily fixed.
Photo etched parts look also very nice, the metal seems to be good quality not too thick nether too thin.
Instructions seem to be pretty straight forward and should be easy to follow those few steps.
Also, this is a small jeep with no obstacles so there really should be no issues.
Only think might be "missing" are clear lights, decals, at least for instruments and registration plates and the instructions could have some color references.
Besides that I can't think about any negatives or minuses.
This is a beautiful kit and I can't wait to build it.
